It has been a very special month, watching the puppies grow. I think I have spent almost the same time in the whelping box with them as Sierra has. The puppies have gone from sleeping 90% of the time in the whelping box to playing in their day pen, eyes have opened, hearing is more acute and they are observing their surroundings quite closely. They love the puppy pen with all the toys and activities. In March I introduce sounds: sirens, fireworks, thunder and more. Later in early March they will go for car rides so that they get used to traveling.
