June 1-30, 2025
We are settling into summer, with warmer weather, windy days, afternoon thunder storms. The dogs are not afraid of thunder, as I exposed them to recorded YouTube video sounds of thunder, sirens, fireworks, construction & household machinery from the third week after birth. Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) & Early Scent Introduction was part of their early development protocol as well. Desensitization using YouTube videos of loud noises was really helpful. Now when we hear thunder, Sierra & Savanna come running to get “THUNDER TREATS”. I act excited, they love the treats, and they are not afraid of thunder!
Sierra’s colors has always been purple, and Savanna’s colors are lavender/lilac.
Sierra and Savanna. Not only do these sound the same, but both are the names of places and both invoke nature. Sierra means mountain range and Savanna means a large, grassy plain, so it’s fun that they’re opposites as well.
