October 1-31, 2025

It’s getting colder and darker with daylight savings time ending. We are ready for snow, so hopefully we will get a real snow storm so the poodles can try out their fleece jackets and winter coats while playing in the snow, which is still probably a month away.

Savanna is growing more and still very dark grey with evidence of silver underneath. Looking back at photos of Sierra when she was 9 months old, it appears that Savanna is on target for turning silver. By the time she is 18 months old, she should be completely silver. Savanna is still being obnoxious to Sierra at times, but she is also learning to play nicer with Sierra. Sierra is teaching her to be less annoying, slowly. Chaos still is the norm at our house most of the time. Cuddle times are the best with 2 poodles. I am still in poodle bliss as I spend more and more time with the poodles.

Sierra’s colors has always been purple and Savanna’s colors are lavender/lilac.

Sierra and Savanna. Not only do these sound the same, but both are the names of places and both invoke nature. Sierra means mountain range and Savanna means a large, grassy plain, so it’s fun that they’re opposites as well.
